Groundhog Day/ FWOM

Today is Groundhog day! Groundhog day is my favourite ever film. The repetition in the film got me thinking about my own daily routines and how I stick to the same workouts- usually at home and on my own. Every February my boyfriend does a song writing challenge called FAWM where you have to write and record 14 songs in 28 days.

I thought since this means that I usually have more time on my own whilst he is working away I should do a challenge too! And so, this February has become F.W.O.M or February Workout Month
I am going to try to do 14 new workouts that I have never done before, including group classes during this month. It seems like a good chance to get out there and try new things, to finally use those DVDs I bought and never tried, and to meet new people.

Today I started the whole thing off with a trip to the local gym for a Bokwa class!
I had taken Zumba classes before and enjoyed them and read in a magazine that Bokwa is the new Zumba so thought it was worth a try!

It was sooo much fun. The dance moves were much easier as they are based on letters "C"s "I"s "X"s etc. and since I didn't know anyone there (and there were only women in the class) I completely went for it! I have to say, it was a pretty good workout too, after an hour I was quite exhausted and the brisk icy walk home did me good.
